With family visiting from out-of-state, we decided to show them what Georgia has to offer (as well as the surrounding areas). We took them to some of our favorite places.
To start things off, we went tubing down the river in Helen. We do this every summer and this year we did it twice!
Our first trip down the river ended up with a HUGE rainstorm, which caused us to get out a little early. It hit us at the end of our trip down so it wasn't too bad.
Next we made our way over to Rock City in Chattanooga, TN.
It also down poured (probably worse than it did in Helen) at the end of our tour of Rock City. They handed us some ponchos, which made us look like little yellow ducks!
From there we went to our favorite Children's Discovery Museum
The rest of our family headed back home, but we decided to stay the night at a hotel and go swimming. Then we did some sight seeing at the art district in Chattanooga.
We walked on the longest pedestrian bridge in the USA, as well as a glass bridge that crossed a busy road. It was really cool!
Glad we saved our ponchos from the day before as it was raining the entire day.
We didn't let the rain spoil our fun.....before we left to head home, we had to try the Ice Cream Show ice cream shop of over 1,000 flavors! Who would pass that up!? Plus they had play horses for kids to sit on.
And of coarse we had to take everyone to our favorite rock climbing gala!
On our way to Medieval Times! This was a real treat, and so much fun!
Our team was the red and yellow knight, who happen to be the champion of the night! It was a very exciting show to see, plus we had more food than we could eat. But the best part was being able to eat it all with our hands!
Bryson and McKenna got to talk with our winning knight and get his autograph, which they loved.
It's been a fantastic week!
