Absolutely Incredible

Meet Dash and Violet!

This year for Halloween we will be going as the Incredibles!

A New Look

McKenna came home with these last Friday as she chose them from the treasure box for having good behavior all week! The kids had a blast wearing them.

Lake Lanier

We had a ward camp out that was right off of a lake.  Bryson and McKenna wanted to invite their friends, Emiliano and Rebeca.  They aren't members of our church and our ward has been focusing a lot on sharing the gospel and reaching out to those that don't have the gospel in their lives.  We took on the challenge as a family to try to get to know our friends(neighbors) outside of church a little better and felt good about extending an invitation to a family to come with us on the camp out.  Bryson and McKenna were so excited to participate in this and we all decided we should invite the Velasquez Family.  We were thrilled that they said they would come.  The kids all had a great time. And our friends did start asking us lots of questions. We feel it's a good start in the right direction.

McKenna found a frog that she wanted to take home.

Bryson and Eme' trying to dig a hole to China. (What child hasn't tried to do that)

McKenna got to go on a canoe on the lake

Bryson was using the log as a boat and trying to paddle with a stick!
So creative and funny!

Sugar Love

My kids have traded places.  Usually Bryson is all about being careful about his intake of sugar, and McKenna is all about getting whatever sugar she can get her hands on.  Well, recently it's been the other way around.  I let them pick an after school snack the other day and Bryson came out to show me his awesome display of melted candy corn on top of corn chips.  It not only made him feel like he ate way too much sugar but it was a lesson to be learned on never melting candy corn.  It took a good while of scraping and scrubbing to get it off that plate!
McKenna came out with an apple in hand.  She wanted some assistance with cutting it.  When I asked her how come the apple over a sweet, she says, "My tummy needs an apple today because I was told it will keep the doctor away!"  Excellent!  Not sure if it would have the same effect on her if she got that information from me, but either way I'm glad it effected her in a positive way by hearing it from her teacher.

Conference Sunday

 McKenna learned how to sew.
Here she is sewing a flower that Grandma Hall drew.
It has taken her a while it work on it, in fact she's still not quite done.
 But it's coming along.

Bryson also took on a sewing project and completed it by the time Conference ended.

Mommy's Helper

McKenna is such a great helper around the house, inside and out!  She helped me weed, plant and water.  So glad I get to have an incredible, sweet daughter like her!

it's all about the TIE

Bryson has tied his first (of many) tie!  We were given some ties from a friend in our ward and now each Sunday Bryson practices tying his own tie.  He did a pretty awesome job! That's one good looking kid.

Lost Teeth

With in a few days of each other, Bryson lost both of his front teeth.
The race is on to see who will get their adult teeth first.

Mother In Training

Fishers

Bryson and McKenna are awesome at fishing!
We took the kids camping up at Helen and they had the opportunity to show off some of their fishing skills.  McKenna was all about getting those worms to bait the hooks, and Bryson was a pro at casting his own line.  No one caught anything, BUT Bryson got a really good bite on his hook!  That fish was a fighter and was trying to pull Bryson into the water instead of let Bryson pull it out.  Bryson did great! We did need to go and assist him with trying to reel that sucker in, but it ended up breaking his line and got away.  That was the extent of the little bit of fishing.
