Stone Mountain Fun

First Tooth Out

McKenna first tooth came out while waiting in line at Stone Mountain! She was very excited!

So Long, Fair Well

McKenna's bridge came out again, and it's staying out this time. McKenna didn't want it back in and with her bottom teeth coming loose it really wont be much longer before she gets her top permanent teeth in anyway. Hooray for that! McKenna was so funny on our way home from the dentist. She kept listing off all the things she CAN eat now, "stickies, root beer, bigger bites of my food, candies, the whole apple, and any candy I want!" She was sure to make it clear we heard the 'candy' part. I'm just glad she's thrilled and excited with this!

Dancing

McKenna is such a cute dancer! I love her expressions and how she really gets into the rhythm. Here is a glimpse of her dancing to one of our faves, Micheal Buble' with Crazy Love.

Go-Kart

Bryson's go-kart is nearly done! He and daddy Phil have been working on this a little at a time. Bryson has also put half his earnings into it. Now all that's left is the motor.

Another Year Complete

Oh I can't believe it! Bryson is on his way to 2nd grade.....I wish time would just stop right now. Bryson does not however and is excited to continue on his learning journey as a BIG 2nd grader! He got to have a patriotic class party full of games, crafts, and treats.
Mrs Murry is the room mom and her son, Jacob is in cub scouts. They were looking for someone who might have a relative in the military, serving over seas that they could send a letter of thanks to, as well as pay tribute to by video through CNN. When I found out about this I told them Bryson has a dad serving and Bryson was thrilled to have his class be apart of recognizing his dad. So this is the reason for the patriotic themed party. I think it's great! Not sure if the tribute will be broadcast on CNN or not, but I recorded it just in case. See HERE!
Bryson decorating his cupcake. Can you see the resemblance? Spiky hair just like his. Bryson with his flag, getting ready to do his tribute to the troops. Practicing their tribute as a class.Bryson's wonderful teacher, Mrs Harper; we will miss her!
And this is Bryson's friend Ori who's family is moving back to Isreal this summer.

Pre-K Graduate

McKenna is SO excited to be going to Kindergarten next year. She is excited to ride the school bus with Bryson, eat in a real school cafeteria, and learn lots of new things! McKenna's class sang a song for the parents as part of their graduation...didn't record it as McKenna did want to participate. She still gets shy when it comes to a lot of eyes on her, but get her one on one and she'll give a great performance!
After the song they served everyone lunch. Here is McKenna waiting in line with a couple of friends from school.
This is McKenna receiving her graduate certificate.
And a picture with her teachers, Mrs Shewly and Ms Amanda
When I asked McKenna what she might miss from Pre-K, she said that she will miss Mrs Shewly the most. Hopefully she gets a great teacher that she will love for Kindergarten as well.

Crash and a Mohawk

Miss McKenna was getting a little ambitious and decided to show all the boys how fast she can go on Bryson's bike. She ended up over-correcting herself and crashed. Scraping her chin, cheek and just under her elbow. She's a tough girl though, hardly cried and healed rather quickly. Bryson desperately needed a haircut but wasn't interested until he saw little Gavin's hair as a Mohawk. He decided that was awesome and wanted the same. So for the last week of school he looked like this... He loved it until he learned that it required some every day upkeep.
