Hard day....

Last Friday, Bryson had to go in for shots. The doctor ordered him to have five shots given to him because we couldn't get access to his previous shot records indicating that he had already received some of them. (Long story...) Anyway, he was very brave and only shed maybe a tear or two throughout the procedure. He did so well that the nurse let him pick a prize! Later that day, Bryson and Kenna were playing in the pool on the deck and were doing their favorite running then jumping in. Well, Bryson unfortunately ended up with a couple of really big splinters in his foot and toe. The splinter from his foot came out just fine, as the skin was mostly gone, but the splinter on his toe caused for some tweezers. This was a process! Bryson freaked out over the sight of the tweezers and as soon as they were in his skin, trying to grab the splinter he was screaming! We ended up having to cut the skin that the splinter was under so that we could just pull the splinter right out. After numbing his skin with ice, we did just that and pulled out a big chunk of splinter. The poor guy ended up with a total of seven bandages by the end of the day. Five for each shot and two more from the splinters. He was beat and ended up falling asleep on the sofa.
