trunk 0 treat and pumpkins

Dressed up and ready to GO! Cake walk... what a huge cupcake! Bryson was excited that he won it, he didn't wan to eat it though.
Enjoying her popcorn! She was shy when we first arrived, then she saw another little girl dressed in the same costume, and she thought that was cool!
Kenna's is a witch and Bryson has the falling apart pirate skull.
They both had a great time carving pumpkins. Bryson was a wimp when it came to touching the insides, but not Kenna, she dove right in with her hands!

Too Excited For Halloween!

Bryson and Kenna went crazy when I pulled out the Halloween box! They took turns trying on all the different costumes and then went outside to ride their bikes while wearing them.
This year, Kenna wants to be bat girl again and Bryson is going to be bumblebee. Not A bumblebee, but The Bumblebee transformer! It's going to be great!

Cookies and Friends

The kids got to have their friends over for a sleep over this past weekend. We took our friends kids so that they could enjoy an evening to themselves. Here they all are, lined up watching a movie on the floor. They were so great, except when it was time to go to bed. We found the girls quietly playing in Kenna's room with the light on. When I opened the door, Kenna hurried as fast as she could to hide under her bed! And then the boys couldn't seem to keep quiet. They were up talking and laughing and having a great time. There certainly wasn't much sleep going on and the results of this were evident the next day! Last week, Bryson had a friend over, Calvin, and we decided to make some Halloween sugar cookies. Each child put on an apron, had their own rolling pin and went straight to work. They had a great time making a mess with the flour and dough. They also enjoyed cutting out their own shapes. Bryson wouldn't stop eating his dough!
Decorating the cookies
Bryson's masterpiece! Kenna's masterpiece!

Sleepy Head

McKenna woke up early Monday morning, screaming because of a nightmare she was having. She said she was dreaming about the monsters she saw in the Halloween store and they were trying to get her. I stayed in bed with her, to hold her and calm her down. She didn't go back to sleep because Bryson's alarm to get up went off. Anyway, we finished with FHE early and sent the kids to go get ready for bed and we could have some extra time to read stories or play. Bryson was done in a flash, but McKenna took her time. She usually takes her time and I just figured she was making the choice to spend her extra time trying to get ready for bed. Well, bed time rolls around and still no McKenna. I went to her room, knocked on the door and no answer. I peeked in to find her laying on the floor, right in front of her closet, sound asleep! Well, I'm glad she decided to go to bed early to make up for the little sleep she received the night before!
